The Barrier Islands Center’s Annual Oyster Roast is our signature fundraising event. By participating, you help to preserve and perpetuate the Shore’s unique coastal heritage and do so much for our community. Because tickets sell out each year, make sure to reserve your space early.
The Oyster Roast is an opportunity to celebrate the bounty and beauty of this region. Local oyster houses generously manage the roasting and steaming of oysters and clams. The silent auction also showcases a broad spectrum of local talent, thanks to the local artisans, artists, restaurants, entrepreneurs, and other businesses who generously donate their lovingly-produced items. The proceeds help keep our doors open with free admission to all.
Finally, the local and regional corporate sponsors who invest in the BIC demonstrate their commitment to this community – both in celebrating our history and ensuring our future. Their sponsorship means the BIC can continue to be a vital and vibrant educational resource for everyone, of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds.
