In this foundational course, using a limited split primary palette, learn about working with the unique properties of oil paint, how to discern and mix tonal values and hue, and arrange compositions for still life. Rather than focusing on a specific subject matter, this class will emphasize the essential methods and materials that will allow you to expand your creative toolbox. Drawing experience is recommended. The instructor will provide some supplies; a complete supply list and week-by-week calendar of topics is available through the BIC office.
