Students in this workshop will learn essential skills through hands-on exercises, progressing to a painting project. How to pick the right paper, brushes, and paints; wet-on-dry and wet-on-wet methods, to learn how pigments move and interact with paper; color theory and how to mix colors; choosing brushes for washes, blending, texture, and fine lines. All materials are included, but students may bring a photo to use as a painting reference.
