Store › SANDERLING DECOY CARVING (2-day workshop)

SANDERLING DECOY CARVING (2-day workshop)

$120.00

Ages 14 and older
Instructor: PG Ross
Saturday, February 13th and Sunday, February 14th
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Cost: $120 per person (materials, tools, and a stand are provided; bring your own woodcarving knife)

Join instructor PG Ross for a two-day introduction to traditional decoy carving as you create a hunting-style running sanderling. Step by step, you’ll learn the techniques used to shape, carve, and bring your decoy to life while gaining hands-on experience with the tools and methods of this Eastern Shore craft. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own hand-carved sanderling decoy and a deeper appreciation for the tradition behind it.

If needed, PG can purchase a Flexcut carving knife for an additional $35. Orders are due by January 10th, with payment for the carving knife accepted at class.
